Collaborative Manufacturing

Collaborative manufacturing is a production paradigm in which humans and robots share workspaces and task sequences, dividing work according to complementary strengths: robots handle repetitive, heavy, or precise operations while humans contribute dexterity, judgment, and exception handling. It relies on collaborative robot safety modes such as speed and separation monitoring and power and force limiting, defined in ISO/TS 15066, plus workcell design that supports safe, fluent handovers.
