Privacy Policy

When you place an order or contact us, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, company name, and the details of your order. If you email us or join our Slack or Discord, we keep those messages so we can support you.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our servers. See the Stripe Privacy Policy for how they handle it.

When you visit the site, we and the services that host it may collect standard technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the site that referred you. We may use third-party analytics services to understand how the site is used in aggregate.

Your shopping cart is saved in your browser's local storage so it survives a page reload. It stays on your device until you clear it or complete checkout.

• To answer your questions and provide technical support.
• To understand how the site is used and make it better.
• To tell you about order status, product updates, and new products. You can opt out of marketing email at any time.
• To meet our tax, accounting, export-control, and legal obligations.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services we need to run the business:

• Stripe, for payments and invoices.
• Shipping carriers and freight forwarders, to deliver your order.
• Hosting and analytics providers that run the site and help us understand how it's used.
• Email, support, and communication tools we use to talk with you.
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights or safety.

If Almond is ever acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that deal.

We use cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, to keep the site working, remember your cart, process payments, and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.

We keep order and invoice records for as long as needed for warranty service and for tax and accounting requirements, typically seven years. Support conversations are kept while you're a customer so we have context to help you.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing email. Email hello@almond.bot and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.

Almond is based in San Francisco, California, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you're outside the US, your information is transferred here to fulfill your order and support you.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

Our products and site are intended for businesses, researchers, and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
