A construction robot is a robotic system that performs building tasks such as bricklaying, welding, drilling, layout marking, rebar tying, 3D-printing structures, or site surveying. Examples include semi-autonomous layout robots, drone-based site scanning, and quadrupeds like Boston Dynamics' Spot used for progress monitoring. Construction combines unstructured outdoor environments, heavy materials, and tight tolerances, making it one of the hardest and least automated major industries.
