Digit

Digit is a bipedal humanoid robot developed by Agility Robotics for logistics work, evolved from the company's Cassie biped, which originated in legged locomotion research at Oregon State University. Digit combines dynamically stable walking on bird-inspired legs with an upper torso and arms for tote handling, and has been piloted in warehouse deployments moving containers between conveyors and shelving.

Why it matters for physical AI

Digit is among the first humanoids operated in commercial pilots rather than demos, making it a reference point for the economics, safety cases, and reliability engineering of humanoid labor.
