Handover

Handover is the transfer of an object between a human and a robot, spanning robot-to-human and human-to-robot directions. A successful handover requires predicting the partner's reach, selecting a grasp that leaves room for the receiver, timing the approach, and modulating grip force release based on sensed load transfer. It is a long-standing benchmark in physical human-robot interaction research.
