LeKiwi
LeKiwi is a low-cost, open-source mobile manipulator design in the Hugging Face LeRobot ecosystem, combining an SO-100/SO-101 class arm with a three-omniwheel holonomic "kiwi drive" base built from hobby servos and 3D-printed parts. The platform targets a build cost in the hundreds of dollars and integrates directly with LeRobot's teleoperation, dataset recording, and policy training tooling for mobile manipulation research.
Why it matters for physical AI
Mobile manipulation data has been scarce because platforms were expensive; commodity open-source bases let a broad community collect and share whole-robot demonstrations, widening the data funnel for generalist policies.
