A logistics robot is a robot deployed in warehousing, fulfillment, or freight operations, spanning goods-to-person shelf carriers of the kind popularized by Kiva Systems (now Amazon Robotics), autonomous mobile robots for case and tote transport, robotic piece-picking arms, palletizers, and automated forklifts. These systems integrate with warehouse management software and operate continuously in semi-structured facilities alongside human workers.
