Welding Robot

A welding robot is an industrial manipulator configured for arc, spot, or laser welding, combining a welding power source, torch or gun end effector, and coordinated motion control, often with external positioner axes. Welding was among the first large-scale robot applications, dominating automotive body shops since the 1980s; modern cells add seam tracking via laser scanners and through-arc sensing to compensate for part variation.
