Tesla Optimus

Tesla Optimus is a general-purpose bipedal humanoid robot under development by Tesla since 2021, intended for repetitive industrial and eventually household tasks. The platform features Tesla-designed actuators, multi-fingered hands, and a vision-centric autonomy stack that leverages the company's automotive AI infrastructure, with training that draws on teleoperated demonstrations and human video. Successive prototypes have demonstrated walking, object sorting, and manipulation, though the system remains pre-commercial.
